The Soča Trail
A footpath along the river from the source of the Soča in Trenta to Bovec. You join it at the Little Gorge, 16 minutes from the house, and can walk a short stretch or a whole day.

We are in the village of Soča, on the road between Bovec (12 km) and Trenta (9 km). Both Soča gorges are within walking distance. The trail up Bavški Grintavec starts at the house.

The trail to the summit above the village, up the south-east side, starts practically at our door. It is a long, demanding hike for experienced walkers.

How to reach us
From Ljubljana
In summer via Kranjska Gora and Vršič: 119 km, just under two hours. All year round through Tolmin and Kobarid (154 km) or through Tarvisio in Italy and the Predel Pass (140 km): about two and a half hours.
From Italy and Austria
Through Tarvisio and the Predel Pass to Bovec, then 12 km up the valley towards Trenta. From Tarvisio it is 45 km, about 45 minutes.
Airports
Ljubljana: 96 km, 1 hour 20 minutes. Klagenfurt: 95 km, 1 hour 30 minutes. Trieste: 93 km, about 1 hour 45 minutes.
